Unlike supported living services where supports are provided to the individuals served, the emphasis in this program is to provide necessary training to increase independent living skills with the goal of decreasing reliance on structured supports. We provide an array of services such as assistance in procuring and maintaining housing, budget management, leadership training, advocacy for quality medical care, and psychiatric treatment, including risk reduction. The step supported living services program provides services to disabled adults who are supported by the alta california regional center.we accept new referrals from all 21 california regional centers, with the expectation that the person will be moving to the areas we serve. The supported living program helps adults with physical and developmental disabilities live more independently in their own homes and apartments throughout southeastern massachusetts.
