Service 4 Wheel Drive Light. I have replaced the switch on the dash. Service 4 wheel drive light in denver & littleton.
I have an 04 dodge ram quad cab 1500 4 wheel drive and when it has sat for a couple hours when you start it the oil pressure gauge doesn't move causing the check gauges light to come on. Started driving down the road going about 40 mph, and the service 4wd drive light came on. I posted in the general discussion area too.
It disappears again once i turn off the engine and turn it back on.
They said they replaced them but the light came back on the day after i drove it home. The service 4wd system message does not mean it is time for routine maintenance of the 4wd system; June 9, 2006 hour 14 interior: I stopped the truck (still running) and turned the selector switch to 4 low even though it was in 2 hi waited for the light to turn on 4 low and switched it back to 2 hi.
